As we just passed Rosh Hashanah a Jewish New Year. I just discovered the delicious honey cake and I was wondering with the same origins of our pao de mel. Both are traditional deliciousness pieces of History of different people. Both celebrate the sweetness of life and how we can pass traditions from one generation to another. The Brazilian version that we know today has its origins in Russia, it was called “Pryaniki”. This tradition spread throughout the Europe and cooks started to bath it in chocolate.
